Do you resist investing in your own growth? Do you chronically put yourself last? What can you do to push forward and step up to say โ€œYES!โ€ to supporting your own development, and contributing in bigger ways.

Get out of your head, into your heart and go further. Every moment, thought, intention, and resource you invest in yourself comes back in unbelievable ways.

From one woman to another ... Here are 3 top reasons why Women Resist Investing In Themselves

.....And How It Hurts Them.

  • We need to check with someone else. let us realise...

When it comes to personal and professional development (or anything in life for that matter), we need to make ourselves the highest authority of our life, not our spouse, our sister, our boss, our partner. We need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt what we need, want and what we deserve, and go out and get it. Itโ€™s not up to our spouse or anyone else to tell us if we should make this investment โ€“ itโ€™s up to us.

We don't need to ask permission to GROW!

(I know youโ€™ll say that you and your husband need to agree on your budgeting, etc. To that, I say you need to know whatโ€™s necessary, and find a way to get it.)

  • We're not sure this is the โ€œrightโ€ time.

Hereโ€™s a harsh reality: weโ€™re all over โ€“the-top busy and over-committed, and itโ€™s never going to feel like the โ€œright timeโ€ to invest in ourselves. But that doesnโ€™t mean it isnโ€™t the best time. We'll always be able to make excuse after excuse as to why we donโ€™t have time to do something critical that will help us,

But people who create great success, happiness and reward in their lives carve out the necessary time and money. They donโ€™t get lost in all the reasons why later would be better.
  • We're not clear about the return on investment.

Women worry, โ€œWill I get enough out of this?โ€ and โ€œWill this be a mistake?โ€ Ensuring that our investment offers a healthy return is a choice โ€“ itโ€™s based on our actions and decisions, not some random act or chance occurrence. It requires thorough research and due diligence to know if an investment will pay off, but more than that,

it requires confidence and commitment that we'll make sure the money we spend on ourselves will be well worth it in the long run.

If just one woman each day would overcome her confidence gap, and move through her reluctance to putting herself first and spending money, time and effort on her own growth and success (and then teach one hundred other women to do it), we'd have real progress for women in our surroundings. Let it start ....with you. Is there an investment in yourself that youโ€™ve been putting off that will help you contribute in a bigger, more rewarding and exciting way in your life?

Please, make it.
